2025 ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
Las Campanas Water Cooperative is soliciting self-nominations from Members who wish to serve on the Co-op’s Board of Directors.
The Las Campanas Water Cooperative (“Co-op”) is soliciting self-nominations from Members who wish to serve on the Co-op’s Board of Directors. Directors serve for three-year terms.
This is a “normal” election cycle which will be held in June 2025 to elect up to five (5) Directors whose term begins in July 2025. Three (3) incumbent Board members intend to re-apply.
The Co-op Board is responsible for providing oversight for a non-profit business with a $2.5 million annual revenue stream, assets with a replacement cost approaching $50 million, and operations with significant environmental and safety implications for our community. The Board is looking for community-minded individuals to join us to help provide oversight for this operation, and ensure the reliable, safe, and economic operation of these facilities for the benefit of all the members of the Las Campanas community. Board members attend the Co-op’s quarterly Board meetings, participate in Committee meetings, and attend special meetings to address specific issues. Board members exercise fiduciary and operational oversight of the Co-op and its staff. All Co-op Members, including part-time residents, are eligible to serve on the Board. Each Board Member typically serves on at least two Committees.
If you are interested in serving, please complete the downloadable Candidate Profile Form and e-mail it to the Co-op’s Secretary, James Dark, at jdark@lcwatercoop.com.
